UNIGIS Salzburg hosts students from all over the world. To facilitate worldwide classrooms, regular communication is organised via asychronous, digital channels such as discussion fora or email. Further, all meetings, workshops and seminars are designed in an online format so that no residential phases are required.
Besides the UNIGIS Salzburg Global Campus – the open online study format for a worldwide audience – UNIGIS Salzburg also offers regional dual degree programs with select partner universities in Asia and Latin America. The curriculum and the learning materials are typically provided by the University of Salzburg, while student support from lecturers and tutors is provided by the local partner university. Tuition fees may be modified to fit the price level of the respective country.
A comprehensive quality assessment framework has been implemented to monitor and continuously improve academic progress across boundaries, cultures, languages, professions, and levels of economic development. UNIGIS students, who study in a dual degree program graduate with two degrees, one from their home institution and one from the University of Salzburg.
